Moxidectin

Hello everyone,

Moxidectin is an active ingredient found in products given to animals, such as Poultry ,dogs, horses for the prevention, treatment and / or control of common internal and external parasites, such as heartworms. Products with moxidectin come in different forms, including orals, topical solutions, and injectables.

I actually buy Moxidectin through Dr Colin Walker but also wanting to know where other breeders get there Moxidectin from ? It is quite pricey but it is very affective .

moxidectin is also cydectin
we buy is as a cattle pour on and use it on all of our animals on our farm...

but it is important to get the doseage rates correct..

when i first found out about using moxidectin cydectin cattle pour on on poultry i was VERY secpticcal about it and was very warey about using it sorry i trialed it on some poor un suspecting roosters we had

no deaths.. so i decided to treat all of our poultry.. never looked back from that day we even use it on our baby guinea pigs it is quiet a safe product with zero with holding periods.. its great stuff!!!

we use it on our maremma dogs, guinea pigs, cats, poultry and on the odd occasion or sheep...
no ill effects yet..

one procursion that has recently been brought to my attention is that is also prevents heart worm in dogs but this is where it may become toxic to dogs if they are already infected with heart worm to begin with they may have a a bad reaction..

any way we use cydectin pour on as we buy it for our cattle anyway and looks after all species on our farm
